    Snakes and Lattes

    Let’s be honest a first date can be very stressful. There is always that fear of “what if we have nothing else to talk about?” “what if there is an awkward pause.” Well I found a place where that awkwardness can be somewhat eliminated. Snakes and Lattes is located in the Annex, just West of Bathurst and from experience I can say it is the cutest place to take a date. The name is a play of snakes and latters which if you ask my friend Ash took her a while to get. The café has over 1000 board games and you can play unlimited for $5.

    Ben Castanie and Aurelia Peynet went everywhere looking for board games - yard sales, vintage shops and toy stores to find the library of game they have today. What everyone boasts about in all the reviews is the fact they have Fireball Island which apparently was last seen on ebay for around $200. Plus if you need help, just ask the staff they’ll help you out!

    While you’re playing make sure you get a latte, because what is the point of going to a place with latte in the name and not having one! Also grab food from their menu. So instead of going on a coffee date to Starbucks, where you can sit in chairs look at each other and possibly have that awkward silence moment, why not go here? I mean if you ever run out of ‘getting to know you questions’ why not talk about the board game? How you missed a move that could have won you the game or talk about how you used to play that game as a child and then you have a whole new area to talk about.

    So for a cute new twist on the let’s grab a coffee for a date concept why not go to snakes and lattes for a cute night out. This is the #2nd

    Ps. tomorrow check out the 1st most romantic spot in Toronto. It is not a common thing that many of us would know or search for in tags, but for me it holds a dear place in my heart and means the world to me.

    Eugh, I *tried* to go here for a first date once bu it was very very full and had a 45min wait. Still haven’t been!
